RESEARCH FOUNDATION
Methodology Framework
Project Purpose
Our initiative investigates the viability of industrial hemp as a tool for environmental remediation at high altitudes. By cultivating specific varieties in Colorado's unique climate, we aim to establish sustainable agricultural practices that restore soil health and manage industrial contaminants effectively.
Research Objectives
The primary focus is to quantify the phytoremediation potential of hemp, specifically targeting the uptake of PFAS and heavy metals. We seek to optimize cultivation parameters that maximize biomass yield while ensuring full compliance with THC regulations in rigorous high-altitude environments.
Research Questions
We are investigating how specific high-altitude stressors influence cannabinoid development and contaminant accumulation. Key questions include which varieties demonstrate superior resilience and how soil amendments can be leveraged to enhance soil-to-plant transfer of specific pollutants.
Experimental Approach
Our methodology combines controlled field trials with advanced laboratory analysis. By monitoring variables from germination to harvest, including water quality and soil composition, we generate multi-layered data sets that support precise reporting on hemp field performance and remediation efficacy.
